Hearings

Changing a hearing date

If you are unable to attend the full hearing, you must write to the hearing centre where your case is to be heard and explain fully the reasons why you are unable to attend, making sure you state your hearing date and appeal number. Where appropriate you should provide evidence that you cannot attend, such as a doctor's medical certificate.

You can request for your case to be transferred to another hearing centre but full reasons must be provided.

If there are compelling or compassionate reasons why you think your appeal should be heard at an earlier hearing, you must set these reasons in writing to the following address:

Office of the Duty Immigration Judge
Expedited Appeal Hearing Requests
Arnhem House Support Centre
PO Box 6987
Leicester
LE1 6ZX

You will be informed of the decision of any of the above in writing, with a new hearing date if appropriate. This decision has no impact on the outcome of your appeal hearing.
